The Universidad del Pacífico is a private, non profit, autonomous institution specialized in economics and business and institutional management which seeks to contribute to the development of Perú in a globalized and competitive context. It considers the Company of Jesus as one of its founding institutions.

It offers three careers at the undergraduate level: Accounting, Business Administration and Economics, and four master's degrees at the graduate level: Master's in Business Administration, Master's in Finance, Master's in Marketing and Master's in Human Resources.

The Universidad del Pacífico has positioned itself as a centre of educational excellence, as a well organized and disciplined institution at the forefront of learning, and an institution which provides the business sector with high calibre professionals. The university's aim is for its graduates to generate wealth and employment for other Peruvians and therefore to actively contribute to the development of Peru.

Research at the Universidad del Pacífico is carried out through its Research Center - CIUP. This center studies the main socioeconomic problems in the country and proposes appropriate solutions for the Peruvian reality. The main research areas are: Environment and Natural Resources Economics; Social Policy, Human Development, and Civil Society; Economics and International Trade; Macroeconomics and Economics Policy; Economics of Regulation, Business Management.   CIUP researchers have created networks with important organizations and centers in Latin America, Canada, the United States, Asia and Europe.

The Universidad del Pacífico is a modern university that appreciates the importance of internationalism in order to achieve its highest academic objectives. It engages in multiple academic activities under bilateral cooperation agreements with universities of widely acknowledged international standing and through its representatives' participation in multilateral networks and programs. The purposes of these agreements, networks and programs are to encourage student and faculty exchanges; promote joint research; facilitate access to fellowships and opportunities to study abroad; arrange internships in foreign companies for our alumni; and define the framework for inter-institutional cooperation.
