ESPAE, the semi-autonomous Graduate School of Management at ESPOL, was established in November 29th, 1983 as a Graduate Program in Business Administration, started its activities in May 1984, offering a part time MBA, becoming later the Graduate School of Management.

Individual Membership

Dues for individual members are only US$45 annual. Members in BALAS receive the following benefits:
  • BALAS offers an excellent opportunity to meet with persons having a variety of expertise to share information, develop joint research projects, and initiate contacts.
  • BALAS communications, both paper and electronic, offer a vehicle to exchange information amount the international membership
  • The Annual Conference provides an opportunity to network and share research, teaching cases and discuss topics relevant to the Latin American business environment.
  • The Membership Directory provides useful information about members: current research interests, specializations, country expertise, as well as complete mailing information and organization affiliation.
  • BALAS, along with other sponsors, provides an Awards Program designed to recognize and encourage outstanding scholarship and research in the area of Latin American business activities. The recognitions are awarded each year at the Annual Conference.
